The slots and scratches should be filled with a skim coat and then sanded with a drum sander with sandpaper of 100 graining and disk sander with a 100-120 net. The surface designated for varnishing must be dry, free from dust and other dirt.

A 1 coat of Water Based Primer Varnish
2-3 coats of Water Based Surface Varnish 2K
B 2 coats of Water Based Primer Varnish

Principles of operation:
Before the application of the varnish wait until the varnish reaches the room temperature, then shake them well. Apply the first coat of the primer by means of a roller designated for water based floor varnishes. Apply the primer evenly, avoid any local accumulation of the varnish; the subsequent varnish strips applied should overlap. In case of application with a putty knife, at least 2 coats of Water Based Primer Varnish should be applied crosswise, in order to prevent any leaving any putty knife traces. After the application of the primer varnish, wait about 2 hours before applying the first coat of the surface varnish. Do not sand the primed surface.

Methods of application:
Roller for water based floor varnishes or stainless steel putty knife. Pouring the varnish directly on the wood is not recommended (use buckets for varnishes).
